The third installment of Netfix’s rom-com trilogy based on the YA books by Jenny Han is a sweet, if predictable, ending to Laura Jean’s story. This is a feel-good movie, and you can’t help but root for LJ + PK (SPOILER ALERT: even if in real-life you don’t actually believe their relationship will survive 3,000 miles and four years of college). It’s the small stories that make this one worth watching, from Peter’s attempt at reconciling with his estranged father (Elliot from ET!!!), to Dr. Covey finally opening up to love again after losing his wife. Though not the strongest of the three, I still enjoyed it.

Rob Sheffield, a veteran rock and pop culture critic and staff writer for Rolling Stone magazine, wrote this memoir about losing the love of his life, and how music was present through everything. A wedding gift, this book is one of the few that remains on my bookshelf year after year. For anyone who treasures the value of a good mixtape, this story will not let you down.

Matt Maeson released this song in 2018, but recently added Lana Del Ray to the track. I’m sorry it took me a few years to discover, because this moody tune has been the backdrop of my February. Though a bit dark, I think it captures the feeling of despair pretty spot on, and I promise you won’t be able to stop singing it to yourself.
